   Top Of Page
Unreal 2 (not Unreal Tournament 2) was meant to be released in the summer of this year, but now those who want it will have to wait, but not for a few more weeks, more like till Christmas! It gets worse - or better depending on how you see it, with the release of Unreal Tournament 2 still on, the developers are taking multiplayer out of Unreal 2 to concentrate on single player. So there you have it, I guess there's nothing much more to say about that....DAMN!!

   14th FEB 2002 - Delay For Retail Counter-Strike
   Top Of Page
Many of you will be wondering what happened to Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, which was supposed to come out...well now. The game will bring the Counter-Strike goodness to those without broadband connections, it will also have a whole host of improvements, like improved graphics, more weapons and of course a single player campaign. When the game does come out, the Counter-Shrike MOD will still be a free download, and gamers with the MOD will be able to play together with those who have the retail version.
But that all will have to wait until Q2 2002 which is when the game is now set to be released.

   4th JAN 2002 - GeForce 4
   Top Of Page
I reckon it's been about six months since we last saw the - at the time - newest and best graphics card that Nvidia had to offer. Well now it that time again, this latest one has been labeled the GeForce 4 (for obvious reasons), although i heard somewhere that the next card from Nvidia will not be called GeForce, well have to wait and see.

While reading this article at GameSpot, the first thing that caught my eye was: "Nvidia officials have said that the PC GPUs will outstrip Xbox's performance in the first half of this year". Now this to me meant that this graphics card will be better than the one on the Xbox, but that's just my interpretation. The card has been codenamed NV-25 and is said to perform much better than the latest GeForce 3 Ti500, the card will also be smaller than before which means that it will be less power consuming and have a lower heat output. But most importantly it will be cheaper to manufacture will hopefully will mean that it will be cheaper to buy...hopefully.

The card is set to come out in February, just in time to give massive boosts to games like GTA3, Hitman 2, the most impressive Unreal 2, and other graphically stunning games.

4th JAN 2002 - Unreal Tournament 2 On, Off, On...
   Top Of Page
First it was a rumor, then it was confirmed, then it was unconfirmed, and now it seems to be confirmed again. Can't they make up their minds. I am talking about Unreal Tournament 2 incase you haven't caught on, a preview of this game has been seen in a French gaming magazine called joystick, so this would mean that the game is actually in development. You can see screens of the preview at Planet Unreal. Which would do you good if you could understand French, or you can get details in English at PCZone. The game is due for the third quarter of 2002.

   19th DEC 2001 - Unreal Tournament 2 Confirmed
   Top Of Page
Infogrames have now confirmed that Unreal Tournament 2 lives, which is great news for fans of the original. The game is set for a 2002 released which means that we won't see it until around 2003, hopefully not. It gets better, Infogrames have also said that Unreal 2 will be released in Europe on May 24, 2002.
