REVIEW: I am writing this just after I have completed Max Payne, all I can say is what a game. In my opinion Max Payne is the best action game around, simply because it is action packed from the beginning to the very end, the developers have done away with brain-racking puzzles and concentrated on pure adrenaline. The story for Max Payne is simple, revenge. In the beginning he comes home from a hard days work to find his wife and child being murdered by some high junkies, so from then Max Payne is on a revenge mission to find and deal with the people behind this new drug, throw in some conspiracy, a wrongful arrest warrant and a few swings of a baseball bat to the head and you basically know what the games about (although there are some twists).
You may have heard from other sites that Max Payne is on the short side, well they're all right, but don't let this put you off one bit, anyone with a PC that can handle Max Payne should have Max Payne to put it bluntly. It may only give you around 10 hours of gameplay, but those are 10 quality filled hours.

One of the features you may have heard about-apart from the self-adjusting gameplay-is Bullet Time. For those of you who have played Hitman in slow-mo mode, I can tell you that Bullet Time wipes the floor with it. Diving into a room full of bad guys and dispatching them with single desert eagle shots to the head is amazing, there is no other game that lets you do that, and since the graphics are just as amazing, the whole experience is made just that little bit more...amazing.
Despite all of my praise, Max Payne is not without is faults, for instance, you can't shoot through doors, sometimes the enemies are as dumb as can be, the game is very linear, characters mouths don't move, there is next to no character interaction (but this is because everyone you see, you kill). But even still I think that his is a brilliant game that everyone should have.
