REVIEW: When I first got Insane, I was expecting a game that I could play for short bursts at a time. That is exactly what I got. Insane is sort of like the Serious Sam of driving games, you would play it for 20-30 minutes and then you would get bored, but you would come back to it and play for another 20-30 minutes.
There are a lot of vehicles to choose from (around 20), but you have to unlock most of them by playing through the championship mode, which isn't the hardest thing you'll ever do. The vehicles are also varied in type, from jeeps to police vehicles, from rally vehicles to huge behemoths. Each car has four different paint jobs as well and they each handle differently enough (although you'll be doing a lot of flipping over). There are also loads of gameplay modes to choose from, my personal favorite being destruction zone, but if that doesn't take your fancy then there are capture the flag, return the flag, checkpoint race, off-road race and more.

Since Insane is geared more towards Internet play, the graphics are not the best but they are good enough, the benefit to this is lagless gameplay which I was very surprised and pleased to see. The sound is also quite good, again not the best, but it'll do.

Insane can probably be compared to smuggler's Run on the PS2. I think that Smuggler's Run has the better graphics but Insane is a better all round game because of the superior choice of game modes and vehicles, and of course the fact that you can play it over the Internet. Insane is not a realistic game at all, it is just driving fun. I would recommend this game to anyone who was looking for a fun arcadey type game and nothing more, even more, it's quite cheap as well.
